According to international water quality standard ("Water quality; Determination of turbidity" ) ISO 7027, as well as its German and European versions (DIN 38404 , EN 27027), the procedure of turbidity measurement is conducted with the help of turbidimetric method and the outcoming data is expressed in the formazine turbidity units (FTU)

The main values of the metric complex system

  1. 1.resistance to the portholesТ contamination.
  2. 2.simplicity, high speed working (operating-time), linearity in all the ranges of conducted measurements.
  3. 3.an "in situ" working (operating) (right in the investigating liquid).

This meter is unique under its parameters and has no equal analogues on simplicity of using and accuracy of undertaking an experiment (measurement). It was reached by using the new principles and methods. The porthole contamination leads up to weakening the measured light flow which is analysed as increasing of the water ambience turbidity and brings significant inaccuracy into the water ambience measurements of turbidity field in traditional turbidimeters. Using of the designed form and methods allows to exclude the surface influence of the film and the role of the porthole contamination on the resulting data.

Performance variability of the metric system:

"POTOK - SMT" - Turbidimetric - founded on measuring the weakening intensitiy of the direct light radiation by suspended material in the waters.

"POTOK - SMN"- Nefilometric - founded on measuring intensities of diffused light by the particles under the known angles.

"POTOK - OS" - the active sedimentsТ thickness in the water objects for the secondary water decontamination.

The differential meter of the filtering system efficiency (in %) - is completed by 2 sensors (connected to each other with the cable of 1 metre length). The resulting signal is proportional to the % turbidity changing between the sensors. If the sensors are located before and after the filter or sedimenting system (or object), the value of their efficiency is studied operatively. Herewith the turbidity change, that is dimensioned by the particle size composition and correlates with the filter-cell size. Under the differential method, the sensitiveness of the checking is much higher than when checking the absolute values.
